Excuses excuses excuses. I am full of them but now with the end of September approaching fast (and I had given myself the end of August as a deadline!) I cannot keep making excuses. 

I shall therefore say very little and leave you with a mere taste of my recent holiday : the wonder and beauty of the Galapagos.

Peace

Today is Friday and as yesterday was a holiday in France, je fais le pont (or I am "making the bridge" to the weekend) and have taken the day off. It has been all in all quite an enjoyable day not counting my trip to renew my identity card which was not possible due to lack of staff. It will take a month to print a new plastic card (no comments on French administration for that one) once I actually do go but as I would need to take half a day off of work, it will have to stay in its expired state for quite a while.

After a trip to the cinema, some shopping, I am now in a local café people watching. I have moved from coffee to beer (as for those who know me, yes I drink BEER now!) and am enjoying the early evening.

In my final post of Laos, I thought I would leave you with images of peace, serenity and calm.
